چکیده
Recently, the application of lipase enzyme as biocatalyst in conversion waste cooking oil (WCO) to free fatty acids and glycerol has been trending well. Therefore, present study attempts use WCO which is found abundance Malaysia substrate for halal microbial can be exploited food industry. The workability conversion, however suffers severely due potential denaturation extended reaction time. Thus, this embraced immobilization method encapsulate crude extracted from Rhodococcus pyridinivorans strain UCC 0009 gellan gum calcium alginate, respectively compared their ability lipase. alginate-immobilized evidently exhibited greater demonstrating 2.18-fold 1.61-fold enhanced activity, comparison repeated reuse gum-immobilized maintained reasonable activity 9 cycles, retaining an average 85 % first seven cycles 67 subsequent batches. immobilized foreseen a green substitute chemical catalyst meets worldwide demand clean technologies.

Optimized Production of Biodiesel from Waste Cooking Oil by Lipase Immobilized on Magnetic Nanoparticles
Biodiesel, a non-toxic and biodegradable fuel, has recently become a major source of renewable alternative fuels. Utilization of lipase as a biocatalyst to produce biodiesel has advantages over common alkaline catalysts such as mild reaction conditions, easy product separation, and use of waste cooking oil as raw material. In this study, Pseudomonas cepacia lipase immobilized onto magnetic nano...

Polycyclic aromatic heterocycles, such as carbazole, are environmental contaminants suspected of posing human health risks. In this study, we investigated the degradation of carbazole by immobilized Sphingomonas sp. strain XLDN2-5 cells. Four kinds of polymers were evaluated as immobilization supports for Sphingomonas sp. strain XLDN2-5. After comparison with agar, alginate, and kappa-carrageen...

Esterification of Waste Cooking Oil Followed by Transesterification by CaO Nanoparticles: Application of Taguchi Methodology
In order to produce biodiesel from waste cooking oil and optimize its yield, a two-stage process of esterification/ transesterification has been used in this study. First, we used the acidic catalysts H2SO4 in order to diminish the content of free fatty acid (FFA) in oil that caused reducing the oil acidity from 6.1% to 0.57% through esterification. Then, the biodiesel was produced by transeste...
متن کاملEnzymatic Production of Bio-Diesel from Waste Cooking Oil Using Lipase
The applications of lipase immobilized on ceramic beads and entrapped in sol-gel matrix, in the production of bio-diesel from waste cooking oil, are compared to that of free lipase. Experimental determination of the effect of molar equivalent of methanol, to moles of ester bond in the triglyceride, on the rate of the enzymatic trans-esterification was experimentally determined. It was found tha...
